I am a multi-instrumentalist and composer working in Amsterdam.

My music draws inspiration from the spiritual, modal and electric jazz of the 1970s, and from the modal flow states of Central Asian art music.

I studied jazz in the US with teachers including John Thomas-Williams and Garrison Fewell, Uyghur music in Beijing and Urumqi with master Mahmoud Memet, and Iranian dastgah performance with Nima Janmohammadi of New England Conservatory.

I am the author of four albums, a solo acoustic record Gnostic, a quartet recording of free improvisation North, and the full scale spiritual jazz/electronic/Asian modal work Turiyans

My fourth album, Natural Light, released 30 April 2026, is a solo album on electric guitar with complex delay systems.

I perform regularly in Amsterdam both solo and with my trio Orb Weaver.
